After being mounted, tailstock is converted from dead to live and it will accept all 1" x 8tpi threaded lathe tool accessories.
After turning the outside of the bowl blank, turn a tenon on the bowl bottom. Then mount your chuck to the tailstock using this adapter; grabbing the tenon with the chuck while still attached to the faceplate. When the chuck and blank is remounted on the headstock, your bowl will be perfectly centered.
Include with two Nylon Washers which keep your lathe chuck or face plate From getting stuck; Include with wrench.
